Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how to cancel a StageOS subscription and when refunds are available. It supplements our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Terms.
1. How to cancel
- You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account billing settings.
- If you cannot access your account, email info@stageosapp.com from the email address on the account and we will process the cancellation manually.
- Cancellation requests are processed within one (1) business day. You will receive an email confirmation when the cancellation has been actioned.
2. What happens when you cancel
- Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period (monthly or annual, as applicable).
- Your subscription will not renew at the next billing date and you will not be charged again.
- After your paid period ends, your account reverts to the Free tier. Content that exceeds the Free-tier allowances may become hidden but is not deleted for at least 60 days, giving you time to export or downgrade your content.
3. Refund eligibility
3.1 UK and EU consumer cancellation right (14-day cooling-off)
Where the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply (UK consumers) or the EU Consumer Rights Directive applies (EU consumers), you have the right to cancel a new paid subscription within 14 calendar days of the date the subscription started and receive a full refund, subject to the following:
- If you have used paid features during the 14-day period, we may deduct a pro-rata amount for the use you have had before refunding the balance.
- By starting to use paid features (for example, generating an EPK download bundle, sending booking requests under a paid plan, or uploading to paid-only storage tiers), you expressly request the service to begin before the end of the cancellation period and acknowledge that you may lose the right to a full refund where the service has been fully performed.
To exercise this right, email info@stageosapp.com within 14 days of subscription start with the subject line "Cancellation request" and include the email address on the account. We will confirm receipt and process any refund within 14 calendar days using the original payment method.
3.2 Outside the 14-day window
Subscriptions are generally non-refundable after the 14-day cooling-off period. You can cancel future renewals at any time (see section 1) but partial-period refunds are not provided.
3.3 Discretionary refunds
We may, at our discretion, issue a partial or full refund outside the cases above where, for example:
- a charge was made in error due to a billing-system fault;
- the service was materially unavailable for an extended period due to our fault;
- a duplicate charge was taken in the same billing cycle.
Discretionary refunds are not an admission of liability and do not waive our position on future requests.
4. Annual subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are charged in advance for the full 12-month period. Outside the cooling-off period described in section 3.1, annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the remainder of the term. You may still cancel renewal at any time; cancellation prevents further charges but does not refund the current paid term.
5. Failed payments
If a recurring payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge and notify you by email. If the payment remains unpaid after 7 days, paid features will be suspended until the account is brought up to date. After 30 days of continued non-payment, the subscription will be cancelled automatically and the account will revert to the Free tier.
6. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at info@stageosapp.com so we can resolve it. Initiating a chargeback through your card issuer without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended pending resolution.
7. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method used at purchase. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

All cancellation and refund requests should be sent to info@stageosapp.com. Please include the email address on the account and a short description of the request. We aim to respond within one business day.
This policy is provided in good faith as a baseline for a UK-based SaaS subscription service in limited beta. It is not legal advice. You should obtain independent legal review before relying on it in a commercial dispute.
